On Dec. 13 at 2 p.m., Commissioner Chang and other officers of the BJFEZ Authority met with Chung Hyung-keun, Chapter head of the Grand National Partyand other party memberselected fromBusan Metropolitan City. The meeting took place in a conference room in Busan Metropolitan City Hall.

The Commissioner reported to the lawmakers the current status of development within the BJFEZ including development strategies for the new international city, New Port hinterland, the Busan Science and Industrial Park and the establishment of the Sinho Regional Industrial Complex.

Commissioner Chang emphasized that the BJFEZ will play an essential role in activating and developing Korea's economic system as it will help push the Korean economy forward, thus moving the nation closer to that of advanced countries by attracting world-reknowned logistics and leisure industries into the area.

The Commissioner asked the lawmakers for more active financial support from the central government to aid in developing the projects properly and for the successfull completion of the BJFEZ's mega projects.
