Busan New Port, located in the New Port District of BJFEZ, consists of three container terminals; North, South, and West.
With these three additional berths opening this year, all terminals in North and South―Pier 6 is at South Terminal― are in operation. In other words, Busan New Port will have 26 berths operating in total.
However, this is just a start. Next to Busan New Port, another large-scale port―the Jinhae New Port― will be developed. It implies that 60 berths will be operating in and beside BJFEZ overall.
The construction of Jinhae New Port is planned to be completed by 2040.
