- Over 50 senior executives from Thai public and private sectors visit the BJFEZ Authority on February 20 at 13:30

- Exploring economic cooperation and investment promotion opportunities between the BJFEZ and Thailand

 

Participants of the executive education program from King Prajadhipok's Institute (hereafter referred to as “the KPI”) of Thailand visited the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Sung-ho, hereafter referred to as "the BJFEZ Authority") today to gain a deeper understanding of global logistics and the development of industrial complexes.

 

The KPI is a public research institute in Thailand dedicated to research and education on political, public administration, economic, and social issues. In November of last year, the KPI signed an MOU with the Korea Institute of Public Administration to strengthen joint research and bilateral cooperation.

 

This visit was part of KPI's executive education program titled "Good Governance for Industrial Factory Executives," with more than 50 senior executives from Thailand's public and private sectors in attendance.

 

In his welcoming remarks, Commissioner Park Sung-ho stated, "Since its establishment in 2004, the BJFEZ Authority has developed into a global business hub, collaborating with world-renowned companies in sectors such as automotive, shipbuilding, port logistics, and advanced manufacturing. We hope this visit will contribute to deepening economic cooperation between Thailand and Korea."

 

During the visit, the BJFEZ Authority presented successful cases involving the Busan New Port, global logistics network development, and advanced manufacturing and industrial complexes, while holding in-depth discussions on potential global cooperation between the BJFEZ and Thailand.

 

An official from the BJFEZ Authority stated, "We expect this visit to further enhance economic cooperation between Korea and Thailand and create new opportunities for collaboration in the industrial and logistics sectors. We will continue to broaden our partnerships with global companies as well as with research and educational institutions."

 

The KPI delegation plans to visit major industrial facilities and economic zones in Busan and Ulsan during their stay, exploring opportunities for collaboration with leading Korean companies and institutions.
