The BJFEZ signed a MOU with Prestige University.
On Friday, April 27, 2012; at UCLA campus (L.A. California), Commissioner Myeng-Keun Ha of BJFEZ Authority signed a MOU with the UCLA medical/nursing college for the establishment of a branch campus at BJFEZ.
UCLA, recognized as one of the most prestigious universities in the world, has an exceptional medical graduate program. It’s doctors’ degree program ranks one of the top ten in the USA.
After this MOU signing, both parties will embark on the establishment of a branch campus of the institute here at the Global campus town of Myeongji International City.
The intention of the Branch Campus of UCLA’s nursing college is to set up an undergraduate nursing program and a medical research program as the 1st stage of the project, and for the 2nd stage, the establishment of a doctor degree program here at Myeongji International City.
BJFEZ will make a special effort to attract the distinguished foreign educational institutions (university & K-12) and international medical institutions to the global campus town of Myeongji International City which is well expected to contribute to the activation of FDI attraction and the fostering of high quality human resources in the BJFEZ.
Visitations sponsored by Gyeongsangnamdo and KITA
In the month of April, BJFEZ had a two visiting groups; First one from Gyeongsangnamdo’s sister cities, representatives from Japan and Indonesia representatives and then second on (April 20, 2012) was an event sponsored by the Korean International Trade Association (KITA), with representatives from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Bhutan, who had an interest in BJFEZ’s roles and operations.
Groundbreaking ceremony: BJFEZ and Geislinger Austria.
Geislinger from Austria and BJFEZ held the groundbreaking ceremony here at Mieum district on Thursday April 30, 2012. Geislinger has invested the $10million US dollars for a manufacturing site here at Mieum district (Parts and Materials Industrial Parks).
