On April 15, Jeong Mun-su, advisor to the President for Economic Policy, visited the BJFEZ and toured the Busan Science and Industrial Park and the New Port construction site. The site tours were followed by a briefing at the BJFEZ Authority where Commissioner Chang explained the importance of infrastructure and the role it will play in constructing the BJFEZ. To ensure the success of the BJFEZ, the Authority plans to attract high-class developers. However, the Commissioner stressed the fact that in order to do so, more financial support from the central government is needed such as subsidies and assistance in covering construction expenses.

 

The Adivsor then wrapped up his visit by meeting with the Busan-Jinhae Select Committee where they discussed ways to ensure successful development of the BJFEZ.
